7700R Selected as AI Team
VEX AI, a fully autonomous competition where robots use artificial intelligence to compete in matches similar to the VEX Robotics Competition. This could not have come at a better time as most of this work can be completed with students working remotely or in small groups.
This introduction video gives you some idea of what to expect. More details info is at: REC VAIC
This is taking VEX Robotics Competition to the next level. Based upon our previous performance, Rolling Robots has been selected as one of 50 teams in the world to participate in this first year of VEX AI competition. Each of these 50 teams is invited to participate at VEX Worlds 2021 in Dallas, Texas. We expect to compete in a small number of regional events through the regular season and do a lot of testing at home and with a couple of the local California teams.
In addition to the extended code and electronics requirements, VEX AI will allow 3D printed, and custom designed machined parts. Through VEX AI competition, students will design, build, code robots and gain hands-on experience in the digital manufacturing process, and AI applications.
Rolling Robots Outreach Makerspace will provide the equipment to enable the most advanced learning for your brilliant high school students. Our makerspace is equipped with all the need equipment such as Laser Cutter, 3D Printers, CNC Router, Milling machine, Lathe, and etc.
Rolling Robots’ AI team will design, build and code 2 robots. The team will compete in a fully autonomous competitive event. The robots can be bigger than the regular VEX robot with more sensors and motors. The creativity of the students is the only limit to what we can do. This is a great opportunity for the most dedicated and most creative students.
