What Will You Learn?

Roboteers as young as 7-years-old can learn to program to make animation, tell stories, make a character move and interact with other characters and game objects. learn coordinate systems, movements, logic and event driven actions. The color coded blocks make programming easy to understand for beginner programmers.

About This Course

Hardware needed for this course (only needed for online): 

Scratch will run in most current web browsers on desktops, laptops, and tablets. You can view projects on mobile phones, but currently, you are not able to create or edit projects on phones. You can find a full list of supported browsers HERE!

Course Offerings:

MLK Day - One Day

For kids who are beginner-level coders, this workshop teaches the basics of computer programming using MIT Scratch language.  Students will learn about the basic concepts in coding and complete animation and gaming projects. "Ability to read" is highly recommended.

4-Week Workshop - Scratch Code Workshop (for Age 6 to 10)

For kids who are beginner-level coders, this workshop teaches the basics of computer programming using MIT Scratch language.  Students will learn about the basic concepts in coding and complete animation and gaming projects. "Ability to read" is highly recommended.

Spring/Summer Camp  - Scratch Code Level 1 (for Age 6 to 8)

For younger kids who are beginner-level coders, this camp teaches the basics of computer programming using MIT Scratch language. Campers complete projects such as simple games and animations. "Ability to read" is highly recommended.

Spring/Summer Camp  - Scratch Code Level 2 (for Age 7 to 12)

Have learned Scratch coding before? This camp takes you a level up. You choose a project - a Minecraft Game, a Mars Mission, or other projects, then you learn to code this project in this camp. 

Summer Camp - Scratch Code Beginner (for beginners Age 9 to 12)

For campers who have learned Scratch before, you will learn to code using more advanced operations with computational thinking, create their own code blocks and build fun games with interactive animations. This camp prepares you for Python Coding and Robotics.
