Age 8 - 12 - No experience needed. Learn to build and code MicroBits, Lego, and VEX IQ robots. Start your robotics journey by becoming a Roboteer. Learn how to build simple and more advanced robots using LEGO and VEXIQ. Learn how to make games that could be played in hands, play with friends, build and program robots to complete challenges autonomously.
What Will You Learn?
In this course you will be introduced to:
- LEGO EV3: Everyone loves building with LEGO but this course teaches students on how to put LEGO robots together. LEGO EV3 robot kits include Brain, motors, sensors, and a small remote control. Fun to build and program to go through various challenges autonomously.
- VEXIQ : This is where the robotics start getting bigger and more versatile. By using the VEXIQ Robotics kits, the students learn fundamentals of building and coding using a very simple robotics system that is similar to LEGO meaning it is made of all plastic parts and no tools are required. Continue to learn how to build more advance robots and programs using VEXcode.
- Challenges: Students will go through some challenges to compete in house and that should help us figure out what the student need to work on more and how ready they are to move on to the next level.
